From Karla's family cookbook (2014). The classic family lasagne is layered with home-made Bolognese ragout and béchamel sauce, then slowly baked at a low temperature until golden.

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 160 °C. Briefly soak the lasagne sheets in warm water.

  2. Spread a ½ cm layer of Bolognese on the bottom of a baking dish.

  3. Spread béchamel sauce over the Bolognese

  4. Repeat the layers until the dish is full.

  5. Finish with a top layer of ragout and béchamel

  6. Bake for 1 hour until the sauce is bubbling and a golden crust has formed.
