Method
Peel the garlic cloves and crush them in a mortar.
Toast the bread on both sides over an open grill or in a very hot oven (250°).
Lightly rub with the garlic, place on a plate, and season with salt and freshly ground pepper.
Drizzle generously with olive oil. Serve immediately.
